Forum Title: Need help to paint signs!!!!
I need to paint many signs, these are plates of 60x40 cm of galvanized steel, burnish the steel to get adherence and so the paint dont fall off or crumble, then we apply a sherwin williams structural primer, the we painted with industrial yellow paint, but the signs must have a finished polyurethane, when we applied the polyurethane but all the paint and the primer fall off, also we have to pain the letters but we dont know how to paint it, without the stencil technique and we have to figure it out because the signs should be finished on friday and we don't have any sign totally finished and our minds are blowing ))): helppp we can't find out what is going wrong the signs should look like the first picture

Did you clean the surface before you primed them? Ate you using a bonding primer and giving it time to dry properly?are your top coats allowed to dry properly before applying a clear coat? If your products are solvent based products, they may just be going on too fast...and staying too soft on a surface that was not clean or bonded to begin with. .. You're on your own with the lettering though. Make a template (looks like maybe you already have?) And spray it. You may have better success with a hybrid poly or something that will not chemically reactivate the paint. How long do you need these signs to last? Good luck! Or you could just use some dtm...Pitt tech is my favorite..
